The Senator Theater

This past weekend was so exciting at Blue Bird Salvage. Tom Kiefaber, the former owner of The Senator theater in Baltimore, delivered memorabilia to our store. It is sad to think this family owned this theater for 70 years and our now parting with the past.

I absolutely remember all the movies I saw there- the good and the bad, because I was at The Senator!!! It was so lovely. In fact, I took a cruise on the Disney Fantasy this Feb. and the first thing that came to mind when I saw the Walt Disney Theater was- this looks like The Senator!! The last movie I saw there was a while ago because I was busy with children and such- I believe it was It's a Wonderful Life.

Anyway, I am proud to have theatrical posters, movie reels, the original marquee letters dating back to 1939 and more to sell to the public at Blue Bird Salvage in Fallston. Thank you to Tom and his family for a lovely place all those years and for sharing your history with us- what an honor!
