Dark Horse Asks For Help Selecting New Oyster House Logo

The Bel Air restaurant will reopen as Main Street Oyster House on October 12.

On October 12, the former Dark Horse Saloon in Bel Air will reopen as Main Street Oyster House, and the restaurant wants your help selecting a new logo.

Dark Horse Saloon posted on Facebook Wednesday asking area residents to help them decide which of three designs should be their new logo, and Facebook users responded in high numbers.

The three logos are pretty similar. The first features a oyster fisherman in color; the second has the fisherman in black and white, but with the same colored border. The third logo has the fisherman in color print, but Oyster House is written in a bold red.

The third photo, with the red lettering, seemed to be the most popular among Facebook users.

Main Street Oyster House will hold its grand opening celebration on Oct. 12 at noon. The event will feature discount oyster prices, and wines from around the world. The opening will have live music and activities for kids as well.

Dark House Saloon announced it would be closing and reopening as an Oyster House on Sept. 18. The restaurant's owner, Chris Reda, said the business was planning to offer higher-end dining.
