Edgewood Denny's Officially Reopens After Fire

The Denny's on Edgewood Road will officially reopen on Thursday.

The Denny's in Edgewood will officially reopen on Thursday, for the first time since a fire tore through the restaurant nearly 13 months ago.

Denny's caught fire twice in 2012—once on July 4 and again on Aug. 3. Investigators believe both fires were sent intentionally, by the same man. The Aug. 3 fire caused about $500,000 in damage to the restaurant. The suspect has still not been caught.

At 9 a.m. on Thursday, Denny's will officially reopen. According to a release, Denny's will unveil an all-new, locally-inspired design and diner menu.

To kick off the festivities, Denny’s will reward the first 100 diners through the door with free Original Grand Slam breakfasts. Hundreds of additional prizes will be awarded throughout the day.

The Edgewood Denny's is located at 1803 Edgewood Rd.
