The Grant Buffet restaurant in the Festival at Bel Air shopping center is no longer in business.

The eatery that combined Japanese, Mongolian, Chinese and American fare in a buffet and carryout setting was nonoperational in late December and as of Jan. 20, the phone was disconnected.

According to the most recent site plan of the shopping center, the 7,500-square-foot space near Advance Auto Parts and Sesason's Pizza is available for a new tenant.

Management from the Festival at Bel Air did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

The people who owned this own rental properties on Bright Oaks Court. Their rental properties have been raided several times for illegals. A few years back one of their illegals was hit and killed while crossing 924. I lived next door to the tenants at that time and after that happened they moved in the dead of night. For days on end law enforcement was beating on doors. I understand they are dealing with federal charges and the court proceedings are expensive forcing them to close the Grand Buffet.

We need an AMERICAN Buffet with other ethnic foods included. Bring back Cactus Willies or Golden Corral to Belair. Not another high price restaurant. The seniors need a break.

Meh. We don't do buffets. All they do is encourage people to overeat.
