LOFT Coming to The Boulevard at Box Hill

The women's fashion retailer signed an agreement for space in Abingdon.

The Boulevard at Box Hill is growing, and the next outfit coming its way is LOFT.

LOFT—a subsidiary of ANN, which owns women's fashion retailer Ann Taylor—has signed on to lease 5,388 square feet in The Boulevard at Box Hill, according to Mackenzie Commercial.

Known for designs that are similar to Ann Taylor's but are less expensive, LOFT describes its clothes as "affordable ... with undeniably feminine appeal, special and unexpected details and a flattering fit."

Those associated with the Box Hill project said the store was a perfect fit for the shopping center that is located off Interstate 95 near Emmorton Road and MD Route 24, an area with regional appeal that also serves many citizens close to home.

"This level of national women’s fashion has been missing from Harford County and has been a focus of our efforts since the inception of the project,” Thomas L. Fidler Jr., vice president and principal of MacKenzie Commercial Real Estate, said of the lease agreement. "The Boulevard at Box Hill is gaining momentum."

A new building will break ground in November at The Boulevard, which will house other retailers and an American Fare Brew Pub restaurant. In addition, developers said they plan to erect multi-level office buildings encompassing 28,000 square feet to complement the existing Box Hill Corporate Center.

LOFT will be at 3473K Merchant Boulevard at The Boulevard at Box Hill in Abingdon. It is tentatively scheduled to open by spring.
