Marlin & Rays Replacing Bel Air Ruby Tuesday

The restaurant is expected to open in September.

Bel Air restaurant-goers will soon have a new seafood spot to try.

Marlin & Ray's Seafood is coming to Bel Air, filling the vacancy left when closed its doors July 21, according to Marlin & Rays guest services manager Sam Parker.

"That's looking like it's going to be pretty solid [opening date]," Parker said.

The restaurant will be the first Marlin & Rays location in Maryland and the 12th nationwide.

Parker explained the Ruby Tuesday and Marlin & Rays chains have the same owner and closing the Ruby Tuesday was a step toward balancing the number of both chain locations.

The building is still undergoing significant renovations, but hiring is moving forward. The seafood restaurant is holding daily interviews at the business, located at 593 Baltimore Pike, until hiring is complete most likely by the end of August, Parker said.

Those interested in working at the new restaurant can submit applications online.
