Proposed Mixed Use Space For Lease Near Sonic

The property, located off Maryland Route 924 behind Walgreens and the Sonic construction site, boasts 16 acres.

While a sign advertising available space along Maryland Route 924 may have caused concern for Bel Air fans of the Sonic drive-in restaurant, it has peaked business interest.

The property is being marketed as a mixed use retail and restaurant pad by Manekin, a real estate company with offices in Baltimore and Columbia. The property, located off Maryland Route 924 behind Walgreens and the Sonic construction site, encompases about 16 acres for mixed use retail and office space as well as two 7,000-square-foot restaurant plots.

"The sign just went up last week," Manekin Vice President Susan Homberg said.

The sign is located on the lot designated for Sonic and has generated a lot of feedback for who laid rumors to rest this week by .

Manekin's sign is a preliminary step, and while Homberg provided a concept brochure (see image), she emphasized the plan is subject to change.

"We've had quite a few calls," Homberg said, later adding, "It's just people seeking information at this point."
