Rally Against Bel Air Walmart Planned Saturday

The Bel Air South Community Foundation is organizing a rally/protest to take place Saturday from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.

After a break for the holidays, the Bel Air South Community Foundation is back to fighting against Walmart's proposed move from Abingdon to Bel Air.

On Saturday, Jan. 12, the organization is planning to hold a rally from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. in the area of Plumtree Road, where the new supercenter is proposed.

The organization is expecting a strong turnout, particularly around noon, Steve Tobia wrote in an email to Patch Friday.
