The Orient To Open On Main Street

The Orient, a restaurant serving Chinese and Japanese cuisine, has been under construction on Main Street in Bel Air for months and could open as soon as January.

A colorful facade has appeared on Main Street and could open its doors as early as New Years Day.

Over the past few months, 15 N. Main St. in Bel Air has undergone a transformation with a fresh exterior and red and yellow lettering that says, "The Orient."

The Orient is a restaurant serving Chinese and Japanese cuisine that has achieved popularity at locations in Towson and Perry Hall, owner David Huang said. The Bel Air location is the restaurant's newest.

"I like this area a lot," Huang said.

He explained that he has been looking for an ideal site in Bel Air for about five years until finally landing on Main Street. The Orient is between and on Main Street.
