I am a NJ transplant - so I say a good sub shop, like a Jersey Mike's.

Small business owner here. I'd like to see commercial real estate agents have decent web sites that are updated regularly and show prices. I'd like to see commercial property owners charging competitive rates. If you want to buy a home, you can get amazingly detailed, thorough information on the web these days, and the market has imploded enough that there are great buys out there. Commercial property still seems to be done still by word of mouth and the rental rates seem to be completely unaffected by the imploded economy. No wonder there's such a huge inventory of empty commercial spaces in Harford county.

An real old fashioned ice cream shop.

Unfortunately there is a Pat's Pizza right behind this place, so that wouldn't work out...but I wish there was a great sub shop in Bel Air.

Huge inventory of empty commercial space in Harford County!? Our vacancy rate is about 4%, second lowest in the state and one of the lowest in the country. That, Tyldak, is the reason Landlords don't need to need to be "competitive" with their rental rates. There is, by far, more demand than supply in Harford County. Commercial real estate is a completely different monster than residential. The economics, fundamentals, and negotiations of a commercial transaction far outweigh that of a residential deal, which is why it isn't as easy, or beneficial to a Landlord, to list a specific rental rate or price for a property/space.

A drive through Starbucks would be nice. I know there are 2 Starbucks close to this location, but neither are drive through like the one in Abingdon. Or how about a place that does breakfast and lunch?

If the place was bigger I would say Andy Nelson's. if you think Bel Air has a good BBQ spot you are wrong. Famous Dave's and The Birds Nest are both sub-par at best. For the size of the area, I would think something more intimate like a small plate wine bar. Something very similar to Liquid Assets in Ocean City would thrive in Bel Air. It also would be a better location than Pairings Bistro.

Definitely not a bank or a drug store or a restaurant. Maybe a local art gallery. Or high-end local crafters could sell their wares instead of waiting for the Arts Festival or other such craft show.

An upscale consignment shop....everyone is always looking for a bargain!!

Love this idea!! I remember Annie Apple Patch that used to be in BelAir Plaza years ago....that was a consigned craft store. I actually tried to buy it years ago but it just wasn't meant to be!! So, crafters and artists products would look great in that space.

Someplace to go for dessert. Sometimes you eat dinner at one place and it's nice to prolong the evening by going somewhere else for dessert. I don't think anything like that exists? I know there are bakeries but they are not open at night.
