Abingdon Resident Named CFO by The Arc Baltimore

Tracy Pruitt has been named Chief Financial Officer of The Arc Baltimore.

As CFO, Pruitt is responsible for oversight of finance, accounting, billing, payroll, and investments management at The Arc Baltimore.

Pruitt worked for the past 17 years at McGladrey, an assurance, tax, and consulting firm. There, she was a director with the Not for Profit Team in the firm’s Baltimore office, specializing in audit and tax services for the not for profit industry.

“Tracy brings both tremendous experience and an incredible breadth of knowledge about the financial management of non-profit organizations to her new position as CFO,” says The Arc Baltimore’s Executive Director, Stephen H. Morgan.

“Her financial skill will prove to be invaluable in helping The Arc Baltimore to continue to meet its mission, ensuring that people with intellectual and developmental disabilities have maximum opportunities to actively participate in all aspects of community life,” Morgan continues.

Prior to joining McGladrey, Pruitt served active duty in the United States Air Force. She is the recipient of both the NCOA Distinguished Graduate Award and the John Levitow Award, the highest award presented at Airman Leadership School.

Pruitt is a member of the Maryland Association of Certified Public Accountants (MACPA) and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). She was a member of the McGladrey Women’s Leadership Committee and served on the board of the Abilities Network from 2007-2013. Pruitt received the YWCA Women’s Leadership Award in 2012.

A native of Connecticut, Pruitt currently resides in Abingdon with her two children, Daniel, 25 and Haley, 19.
