BlueGrace Baltimore Secures 10 thousand Pounds of Pet Food for Donation to Humane Society of Harford County
BlueGrace Logistics’ Baltimore office secured a 10 thousand pound donation of dog food from VeRus Pet Foods Inc. for the Humane Society of Harford County. Ward Trucking donated the transportation services needed to transport the food and deliver it to the Humane Society in Fallston, MD on March 5.
The Humane Society is BlueGrace Logistics’ charity of choice. The BlueGrace Corporate Headquarters located in Tampa, Fla., supports the Humane Society of Tampa Bay. Each year, the Tampa office holds their annual “Cats vs. Dogs Competition” Pet Food Drive. They encourage their satellite offices and franchises to hold similar drives to support their local Humane Societies. In 2013, BlueGrace Logistics’ acquired United States Transportation Consultants (USTC) to create the Baltimore office location. This was their first year participating in “Cats vs. Dogs.”
“What I once thought would just be a nice way to generate a thousand pounds of pet food has now quickly become a massive outpouring of support generating 44 thousand pounds,” BlueGrace President and CEO Bobby Harris said. “The BlueGrace team found a way to align many other businesses and people to make a very real impact for animals in need. I couldn’t be more blown away, nor more proud.”
