Freedom Federal Credit Union Announces Harford Community College Student Scholarship

Harford Community College is pleased to announce that Freedom Federal Credit Union has established the Freedom Federal Credit Union Scholarship at the College.      

 The new scholarship provides an annual award amount of $1,000 toward tuition, fees, and books for a Freedom member who is an enrolled student at Harford Community College.  A Freedom member, Youth Club member, and/or a family member will be given first preference for this scholarship.  To be eligible, students must be enrolled with at least six credit hours, hold a cumulative 2.0+ grade point average, live in Maryland, and demonstrate financial need.       

 Since 1953 Freedom has taken great pride in its ever-expanding commitment to and support of the Harford County community.  Rose Ann Lambert, President and CEO of Freedom Federal Credit Union said, “It is Freedom’s mission to give back to the Harford County community. What better way than to provide an educational opportunity to a deserving member?”

Freedom has previously supported students at the College with sponsorships for the Adam Thompson 5K Run/Walk, the HCC Foundation’s Summer Swing Golf Tournament, and the Athena Women’s Leadership Award Breakfast.

For many of our students, scholarships are the deciding factor in whether they will be able to attend college.”
