Position:  Community Learning & Retention Specialist 1:1

Summary: The League is seeking an individual with experience in the field of autism to work in our Day Habilitation program. All candidates must have experience in life skills programming and behavioral interventions for young adults with autism.

The CLRS is responsible for implementing the assigned participant’s individual treatment plan, working with the participants and their family to improve socialization, self-help, communication and pre-vocational skills. The CLRS will work with assigned participants at The League and in the community, in a group of no more than 8 participants.

Transportation of an individual from Harford County may be required. Harford County residents preferred.

Qualification Requirements:

§  Minimum age of 18 with no criminal history.

§  Access to reliable automobile with valid insurance, and a valid driver’s license with no more than 2 points.

§  Must possess basic computer skills including Microsoft Word and Outlook

§  Able to work a flexible schedule with possible overtime

§  Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills

Educational and/or Experience:

• At least one year of experience working with individuals with disabilities
• High School diploma required, AA in related field preferred.
