7-Eleven to Hand Out Free Slurpees Thursday
The chain celebrates its birthday with free 12-ounce Slurpees.
For Slurpee fans, July 11 is practically a national holiday.
On Thursday, convenience store 7-Eleven gives away free Slurpees for what it calls 7-Eleven Day. The drinks will be available from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and only while stores have the special free cups left.
The chain is upping its game for the annual giveaway, traditionally limited to 7.11-ounce (get it?) cups. Instead, those who score free Slurpees nationwide will be getting 12 ounces of the drink.
The chain has always celebrated its birthday around the July 11 "holiday," but it wasn't until 2002 that free Slurpees became part of the presents
