Bel Air Cat Found After 2 Days

A Main Coon mix cat went missing Monday in the Homestead Village area.

Thomas the cat was returned home safely after several days of a dangerous life on his own.

Thomas, or Tommy, a gray Main Coon mix with green eyes, went missing Monday in the area of Homestead Village and the Country Walk Apartments in Bel Air, according to a flier posted in the community.

The owners described him as friendly and possibly scared. They also offered a reward for his safe return.

On Wednesday night, a woman found Thomas in a parking lot in country village, wrote the owner in a text message to Patch Thursday.

I'm so thrilled that Thomas was found. I really feel like our quick action on contacting the Harford County Humane Society (they are so helpful and kind) and FARM Fallston Animal Rescue Movement to file a LOST pet case also getting the flyer's out in our immediate neighborhood was the success to getting him back so quickly. I know many many cases do not end in a happy reunion. I'm thankful to everyone who helped to look for him and the very kind woman who took quick action and picked him up. This kind lady would not even take our reward, she said its the "right" thing to do. Its nice to know there are a lot of kind people out there who will help both people and pets!

I am a cat and dog lover. I am really thrilled that this cat has been found and is okay. We need more stories like this instead of stories about animals being tortured and set afire as happens too often in Baltimore in particular.

I'm so happy Tommy is home again. Don't know what I would do without my little one. Please give Tommy a big "welcome home" rub from us.
