Easter Egg Hunts, Events in Harford County

Here is a list of the Easter egg hunts and events that will be happening in and around Bel Air this holiday weekend.

UPDATE (Friday, 9:30 a.m.)—I've taken half the hunt out of searching for Easter eggs in Bel Air. For that matter, I have all of Harford County covered.

VENUE: Easter Block Party 2011 at Oak Grove Baptist Church

ADDRESS: 2106 Churchville Rd., Bel Air 21015

DAY AND TIME: Saturday, 1 to 4 p.m.

DETAILS: Bring the entire family for fun activities including inflatable games, pony rides, food, music, entertainment and a massive egg hunt with more than 16,000 eggs. The eggs will be filled with candy and prizes.

VENUE: Easter Egg Drop at Forest Hill Elementary

DAY AND TIME: Saturday, 10 a.m. to noon

DETAILS: This is not your everyday Easter egg hunt. There will be face painting, a moon bounce, a performance from one of the Barnum & Bailey Circus clowns and the eggs won’t be hidden just under trees and rocks—they will be falling from the sky! The Easter Bunny will be taking free pictures and everyone will receive a free prize.

VENUE: Cedar Lane Regional Park

DAY AND TIME: Friday, 10 a.m. to noon

DETAILS: Children ages 2–10 are invited. During the event, they will be collecting donations of gently used clothes and shoes for the Soles4Souls charity event to benefit the victims of the earthquake in Japan.

DETAILS: This will be an exciting event for elementary-age children and their parents. There will also be breakfast.

DAY AND TIME: Saturday at noon

DETAILS: In addition to the egg hunt there will also be games. This event is open to the public, and children 11 and younger are invited. Each egg contains a prize so don’t forget a basket or bag to collect them all!

DAY AND TIME: Saturday. Gates open at noon and the hunt begins at 1 p.m.

DETAILS: There will be a pancake breakfast and Easter egg hunt with creative activities and a gift for every child. The event will also feature the Rev. Ralph Green II and “Danny Doolittle.”
