GET OUT: Baltimore Heroes, 4-Legged Athletes, Easter Happy Hour

Break out of your winter shell with this weekend's springtime, feel-good events.

Spring is finally here and it is time to get out and enjoy the weather—and a few drinks while you’re at it. Sports fans, there’s something for you too. Don’t miss an exclusive event featuring some of Baltimore’s most talented athletes—some of them even have four legs. All of this weekend’s events will spice up your planner and have you talking for weekends to come.

Where/When: Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m. on Main Street

Why Go: Want a break from the hectic work week? Have a fun night out with the gals in downtown Bel Air. All of your favorite stores will be open late for shopping, and pubs will have happy hour specials. Don’t miss out on the fun!

2. CHARM CITY HEROES

When/Where: The Hilton Hotel in Pikesville on Friday, 6 to 9 p.m. and Saturday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Why Go: If you’re a Baltimore fan, you don’t want to miss this event. All of Charm City’s heroes will make appearances for this special two-day event. There will be autograph signings and a collectibles show with everyone from Orioles Hall of Famers Brooks Robinson, Eddie Murray, Cal Ripken Jr., Jim Palmer and Earl Weaver, to Ravens stars Joe Flacco, Ray Lewis and Michael Oher—and the list is growing. 3. DJ LIL’E PRESENTS LADY GAGA VS. MADONNA VS. RIHANNA

Where/When: Friday, 9:30 p.m. at Rams Head Live. Doors open at 8:30 p.m.

Why Go: Dj Lil’ E has hosted some of the region’s hottest dance parties and now she is bringing one of her most popular shows to Baltimore. Be prepared for great music, tons of dancing and even neon confetti. All ages are invited for an exciting start to the weekend.

Pricing: $12 plus tax

 

4. CHERRY BLOSSOM CLUSTER DOG SHOW

Where/When: April 22-25 at the Timonium Fairgrounds, Exhibition Hall, 4H Building and Cow Place

Why Go: Are you a dog lover? Man’s best friend will put on a community dog show for your entertainment. Sponsored by the Baltimore County Kennel Club (celebrating its 75th year), the Old Dominion Kennel Club and the Catoctin Kennel Club, this is sure to be a crowd pleaser. Everyone is welcome. 5. EASTER HAPPY HOUR

When/Where: Sunday at from 5 p.m. to close.

Why Go: Did you spend just a little too much time with your in-laws on Easter Sunday? Looney’s can fix that. Come out with your friends and family to relax and take the edge off with a cocktail at Looney’s happy hour.
