GRAB AND GO PLANNER: Falling Eggs, Tons of Trees, Bunnies

There are some special events this week leading up to Easter, as well as others to show off your talents and to help make the world a better place.

Where/When: Tuesday from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Aberdeen branch of the Harford County

Why go: Are you a singer? Can you dance? Do you have a talent you want to share with everyone else? If so, this is your premiere event. There will be free snacks and drinks available. Middle and high school students are invited to attend. Pre registration is not required. Call 410-273-5608 for more information.

Where/When: Saturday, 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. at the Maryland Zoo

Why Go: Easter is almost here! Enjoy breakfast and arts and crafts, all while touring the zoo. There will be a photo-op with the bunny and a Bunny Bonanzoo festival. Breakfast is from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. but feel free to stick around after and enjoy the animals. Everyone is invited.

3. KIDS’ DAY!—

Where/When: Monday, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. at Amazing Glaze in the Festival.

Why Go: Need a gift for a friend, a Mother’s Day present or just need a new piggy bank? Stop into Amazing Glaze and paint whatever your heart desires all day for just $5. Everyone is welcome, including walk-ins. For more information call 410-569-9502 or visit the website.

4. EASTER EGG DROP

Where/When: Saturday, 10 a.m. to noon at Forest Hill Elementary

Why Go: Not your everyday Easter Egg Hunt. There will be face painting, a moon bounce, a performance from one of the Barnum and Bailey Circus clowns and the eggs won’t just be hidden under trees and rocks—they will be falling from the sky! The Easter Bunny will be taking free pictures and everyone will receive a free prize.

5. ARBOR DAY 2011

Where/When: Friday, 9 a.m , 1100 Cedar Lane in Bel Air

Why Go: Honor Mother Nature and participate in a fun celebration.  There will be tree plantings, displays, demonstrations and exhibits. All who attend will receive their own free tree. For more information visit the website.
