House of Cards Holding Casting Call in Bel Air Saturday

Those interested in participating in House of Cards as extras are invited to a casting call on May 18 in Bel Air.

The event will take place at the Bel Air Reckord Armory (41 N. Main St.) from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday.

All types of people are needed except for children, or individuals under 18 years old.

Candidates should bring a recent photo of themselves.

"They will be looking for a wide variety of people," according to Dave Gigliotti, manager of the Bel Air Armory and facilities for the Town of Bel Air.

During last year's tryouts for House of Cards, Gigliotti said between 500 and 800 people turned out.

After the casting call on Saturday, May 18, there will be an event called "Get Jazzed at the Bel Air Armory" from 7 to 10 p.m., sponsored by the Harford County Arts Board, the Maryland State Arts Council and the Town of Bel Air. The band Defractions will perform, there will be a cash bar and there will be dancing. Tickets are $10 in advance and $15 at the door.
