Let Bel Air Patch Help You Get a Job

Harford County residents can post their resumes on Patch.

Are you unemployed?

If answered yes, allow me to use my job to help you find your own.

No, I can’t hire you (unless you have a really strong journalism background—then we can talk), but I can put your face and your resume on the most-read news website in Harford County.

I want to feature video resumes of local residents (primarily those from Bel Air, Abingdon, Churchville, Fallston and Forest Hill). And I won’t be charging them a dime.

E-mail me your resume and background information: your name, age, hometown, areas of expertise and availability. We’ll discuss meeting to shoot your video profile. That’s right, your video profile.

You’ll get 60 seconds (that’s the limit) to tell whoever may be watching why they should hire you. What you say is up to you—nothing profane is allowed, of course—I’ll just hit the red button on the camera.

I will then upload the video to the site, along with a PDF of your resume and the other basic information I requested. I will then post it to Bel Air Patch for all to see. From there, you’ll have a tidy link to share across the web for any employer who wants to know more about you.

If you want to cut me out of the recording process, we can do that, too. Simply upload a video to YouTube (the 60-second limit still applies) and I will embed it onto the site, along with your resume and the other information you e-mail me.

You may have noticed the daily “” feature, which includes an opening in the area every weekday morning at 8 a.m. As long as there are employment vacancies in the heart of Harford County, I’ll continue to post them. (If you want your job opening to be included, please e-mail me at Brad@Patch.com.)

Send me an e-mail with “Help Me Get a Job” in the subject line and I’ll get back to you as soon as possible.
