Missing Forest Hill Cat Returned Home

A missing cat was reunited with his Forest Hill family.

A since June has safely returned home.

Jack, a 17-year-old cat, slipped out the door to his home on June 26.

Owner and her family were concerned because he is, "a total house cat and has no idea about being outside," Wilson wrote in an announcement on Patch.

Last week, the called Wilson and told her they were "fairly certain" they had Jack at the shelter, Wilson wrote in an email to Patch.

Although he showed signs of weight loss and a few scrapes, Jack was otherwise healthy after about three weeks on the run.

Now safe and sound at home, the friendly cat is all about snuggling with Wilson or her daughter.

"I am hoping the [Patch] article had something to do with it, but we will never really know," Wilson wrote of Jack's safe return.
