Where To Buy Turkeys from Maryland Farms

If you're interested in buying home-grown, fresh turkey from a nearby farm, the state Department of Agriculture provides a list of Maryland's turkey farms.

Two are in Harford County, according to the state: 

Little Creek Meadows, LLC at 4327 Federal Hill Road in Street. Call and Dawn Bero at 410-557-4227 or email littlecreekfarm@att.net for more information. 

Here's what Little Creek says about its turkeys on its website: "You'll typically find several Heritage Breeds wandering about the farmyard.  If you're able to perfect your gobble, they'll honor you with a response.  Be warned, these birds are not shy...they'll follow you everywhere!"

The second is Simply Abundant Farm at 1510 Whiteford Rd. in Street. Call Mary Larson at 443-243-7337 or email mary@simply-abundant.com. However, the website says Simply Abundant is located in Virginia and the voicemail was full. I sent an email but haven't heard back. Anyone know anything?
