Dancing for the Arts

5th ANNIVERSARY DANCING FOR THE ARTS!

Harford  County Community leaders will strut their stuff in a ballroom dance competition on Satuday, September 15th at the Residents' Club at Bulle Rock from 6:30 p.m. until 11 p.m. The evening will include an open bar, sumptuous food, live auction, and the dancing competition. The participants are taking dancing lessons with professional dancers at Dancing with Friends. The live auction will include beautiful oval hoop diamond earrings donated from Saxon's diamond Centers.

The public can help determine the "Top Fundraiser" for the event by going to www.DancingForTheArts.org and voting for their favorite dancer by making a donation to the Center for the Arts. (1 vote=$1) The dancer receiving the most votes will receive the Top Fundraising Award. A Judges Choice Award will also be given out that evening. Tickets are $185 per person and are available online. The event is black tie optional.

The money raised will help sustain the Center for the Arts as they move forward to build a regional Center for the Arts in Harford County. The Center for the Arts is celebrating the April 2012 transfer of title of a 41 acre parcel of land in Abingdon from the Estate of Emily Bayless Graham to Harford County Government for the sole purpose of construction of a cultural center. The Center for the Arts is a 501 (c) (3) organization dedicated to nurturing art, artists, and community by providing a broad range of creative and collaborative experiences through quality arts education, presentations & exhibit in the discipline of music, dance, theatre and the visual, tradition& literary arts.
