A “balanced approach” budget introduced this week with many taxes & fees are another burden on citizens out of work and barely getting by. The $7.5 billion in “historic cuts” over the last six years is really Maryland’s budget growing by at least $1 billion every year since 2007, the largest in Maryland’s history!
A recent poll shows 96% of Marylanders believe they’re paying ENOUGH in taxes. Reduction/elimination of exemptions/deductions on personal income taxes will affect many small businesses because 93% are LLC’s and business owners file taxes as individuals. Of all the jobs in the state, 54% come from small businesses and every additional dollar paid in taxes/fees is a dollar less to create a new job. The Gas Tax will increase the price at the pump by 20 cents or more per gallon. These budgets use taxpayer money to pay for abortions, which I oppose. I will vote against this budget!
