Harford County NAACP Holds Special MLK Day Program
The theme of the event is 'A Legacy of Service.'
On Martin Luther King Jr. Day, members of the Harford County NAACP will gather in Havre de Grace at Temple Adas Shalom for the organization's annual meeting.
Rabbi Gila Ruskin will be a keynote speaker at the event, which has a theme of "A Legacy of Service" and will include a special tribute to Nelson Mandela, plus appearances by liturgical dancers, All the King's Horses, Black Youth in Action and the Temple Adas Shalom choir.
Breakfast will be from 8:45 to 9:15 a.m. followed by the program from 10 a.m. to noon.
The event will be at 8 N. Earlton Rd., Havre de Grace. Tickets are $10 per adult and $5 per child.
