Town of Bel Air Proclaims April as Autism Awareness Month

The town has 'lit it up blue.'

Have you noticed more blue around Bel Air lately?

The Town Hall on Hickory Avenue has changed its hue for April to raise awareness about autism. In fact, the town's board of commissioners proclaimed April "Autism Awareness Month" at its meeting this week, where the Autism Society of Harford County was recognized.

The "Light It Up Blue" campaign is one that involves illuminating buildings and businesses around the globe blue to raise awareness about autism during April, which is World Autism Awareness Month.

Several organizations in and around Bel Air are participating in Autism Awareness Month.
