Two people were injured in separate incidents in Bel Air Wednesday night that required transport by helicopter for medical treatment, according to a spokesman for the Bel Air Volunteer Fire Company.

A pedestrian who was struck on Linwood Avenue was being picked up by helicopter at Rockfield Park, Rich Gardiner of Bel Air Volunteer Fire Company said at approximately 5:30 p.m. Wednesday.

The victim, a 69-year-old man, was in critical condition at the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center Wednesday night, according to the Bel Air Police Department.
