Abingdon House Fire Under Investigation

Officials said there were initially reports someone was trapped inside.

Several fire companies responded to a house fire in Abingdon Friday morning, officials said.

The fire broke out in a home in the 1300 block of Harford Town Drive, where there were initial reports that someone was trapped, according to the Harford County Volunteer Fire & EMS Association, which said firefighters did not locate anyone.

The fire was reported after 2:30 a.m., according to Joppa-Magnolia Volunteer Fire Company, which assisted Abingdon Fire Company at the scene.

The Office of the State Fire Marshal is investigating the cause of the blaze.
