Arrest Made, Warrant Issued In Fallston Burglaries

Harford County sheriff's deputies have arrested and charged one man and are looking for a second in connection with a string of burglaries in the Fallston area.

A 26-year-old Bel Air man has been charged in connection with and police have issued a warrant for the arrest of his alleged accomplice.

Cory Richard Strevig, 26, of the 600 block of Emmy Dee Drive in Bel Air, was charged Wednesday in two related cases with four counts each of first-degree burglary, fourth-degree burglary and theft between $1,000 and $10,000 and three counts each of vandalism less than $500.

The charges stem from two Feb. 1 burglaries in the 2000 block of Copperwood Way in Fallston, two Feb. 7 burglaries in the 3100 block of Brandon Hunt Lane in Baldwin, a Feb. 10 burglary in the 2900 block of Moores Road in Belcamp and a Feb. 16 burglary in the 1400 block of Roman Ridge Way in Bel Air, according to charging documents.

Strevig lives within walking distance of Roman Ridge Way, police note in charging documents.

believe Strevig broke into the homes with the help of Daniel Sheets of Bel Air, according to charging documents. The value of the stolen property, including jewelry and a car, totals more than $44,000.

Sheets and Strevig pawned items stolen from several of the burglarized homes within days of the break-ins and Sheets removed gemstones from jewelry pieces before pawning them, according to charging documents.

An arrest warrant has been issued for Sheets, 25, of the 700 block of East Farrow Court in Bel Air. Sheets has the same address as that listed in state Board of Elections records for Roger L. Sheets Sr., who lost the Republican primary .
