Baltimore County Man at Fault in Accident on I-95, then Fatally Struck Fleeing Scene

The victim was dead when police arrived on the scene.

UPDATE (11:53) a.m.—A Baltimore County man was fatally struck on U.S. Interstate 95 at mile marker 76.4 in Bel Air at approximately 4:15 a.m. Saturday morning.

Maryland State Police say Levon Michael Brown of Rosedale was at fault in a two-vehicle accident on northbound I-95 when he fled the scene, climbed the cement barrier in the center of the highway and ran across southbound I-95.

Brown was struck in southbound lane No. 2 by a 2006 Honda CR-V and was then struck by a 2002 Subaru Outback. Police say Brown was deceased by the time they arrived.

A state police spokesman said there were no other injuries as a result of either accident. The spokesman also said that there are not any charges pending and that they do not know the nature of the original accident in which Brown was at fault.
