Bel Air Crime: 2 Charged After Domestic Violence Call

The following information was supplied by the Harford County Sheriff's Office, Bel Air Police Department and Maryland State Police. In cases where a criminal charge is noted, the information provided does not indicate a conviction.

 

Two Harford County men were charged with assault Saturday after an incident at a Jarresttsville home, authorities said.

A woman called 9-1-1 around 2:13 a.m. April 7 to report an incident of domestic violence in the 1200 block of North Bend Road in Jarresttsville, according to information provided by the .

Once at the home, Maryland State Police said they arrested and charged two men who share the same last name.

Joseph Davis, 21, of the Jarrettsville address, was charged April 7 with second-degree assault and disorderly conduct.

At the same time, Steven Lee Davis, 22, of the 1700 block of Oakmont Road in Fallston, was charged with second-degree assault.

It was unclear Tuesday if the two men are related.

Bel Air man arrested after failing to appear in court

Ryan Neal Bentley, 20, of the first block of Overbrook Drive in Bel Air, was arrested April 5 on a bench warrant in a case in which he was charged with possession of a drug other than marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. The warrant for his arrest was issued after Bentley did not appear in court April 4, according to court records.

Bel Air man charged with theft scheme

Christopher Sorger, 32, with either no fixed address or an address in the 600 block of Lochern Terrace in Bel Air, was charged April 6 with theft scheme less than $1,000, theft scheme between $1,000 and $10,000, four counts of issuing a false document, four counts of forging private documents, four counts of theft less than $1,000 and one count of theft less than $100, according to police.

Essex man charged with drug possession

James Theodore Trudeau, 24, of the 100 block of S. Stuart St. in Essex, was charged April 8 with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia, police said.

Street woman charged with drug possession

Karrie Lynn Gilbert, 30, of the 200 block of Holy Cross Road in Street, was charged April 8 with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia, police said.

Bel Air man charged with DUI

Jesus Miguel Ruiz-Hernandez, 21, of the 200 block of Crocker Drive in Bel Air, was charged April 8 with driving while under the influence of alcohol, driving while under the influence of alcohol per se, driving while impaired by alcohol, driving without required license and authorization and failure to return and remain at the scene of an accident involving damage, authorities said. The charges stem from a 12:12 a.m. April 8 traffic stop in the 2200 block of Churchville Road.

Bel Air man charged with failing to pay child support

William Clark Straw III, 24, of the 2300 block of Creswell Road in Bel Air, was arrested April 4 on an office of child support enforcement warrant, authorities said.

Abingdon man charged with assault

Richard Denis Schwarz III, 26, of the 3300 block of Deepwell Court in Abingdon, was charged April 5 with first- and second-degree assault and false imprisonment, police said.

Bel Air man charged with drug possession

Raymond Martin House, 47, of the 2000 block of Rushmore Court in Bel Air, was charged April 5 with possession of a drug other than marijuana, police said.

Bel Air woman charged with theft

Jamie Atkins, 26, of the 200 block of Fairwood Road, was charged April 6 with two counts of theft less than $1,000, according to police.

Abingdon man arrested on out of state fugitive charges

Bradley Barton Peeples, 25, of the 3100 block of Laurel View Drive in Abingdon, was charged April 6 with being a fugitive from Pennsylvania justice, police said.
