Bel Air Man Charged with Child Sex Abuse

Grant Goodwin Peterson of Bel Air is charged with sexually abusing a minor at the Harford Mall.

A Bel Air man was arrested and charged this week after allegedly sexually assaulting a child he knew at the Harford Mall.

Grant Goodwin Peterson, 76, of the 200 block of East Heather Road in Bel Air, was charged Monday with sex abuse of a minor and third-degree sex offense.

The charges stem from incidents that took place Monday afternoon at the mall and Peterson's home, according to a release from the Bel Air Police Department.

The child victim knew Peterson and accompanied him to the mall, the release states. The victim's age and gender were unavailable as of post time.

The Harford County Child Advocacy Center is investigating the case along with Bel Air police.
