Man Exposed Himself to Bel Air Student, Police Say

The indecent exposure involved a student walking home from school, according to police.

The Bel Air Police Department is asking the public for help identifying the suspect in a recent case of indecent exposure involving a student.

Police said that at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 12, a student was walking home from high school when a man in a red hatchback pulled up next to her at Broadway and Franklin Street and asked if she needed a ride.

According to police, the student said "no" and at the next intersection, the man—who was approximately 20 years old, of medium build and wearing a plaid sweatshirt—asked her for directions.

As the student approached the vehicle to give directions, she saw the man exposing himself and left, police said.

Anyone with information may contact Detective Mark Zulauf of the Bel Air Police Department at 410-638-4518.

The Bel Air Police Department reminded citizens to be alert and report any suspicious activity immediately.
