Fuel Truck Accident Hospitalizes 1

The crash occurred at the intersection of Belair Road and Connolly Road.

UPDATE (Sunday 6:57 a.m.)—One unidentified man was flown to Maryland Shock Trauma by medevac Saturday night after a car and a fuel truck collided at the intersection of Belair Road and Connolly Road.

The crash occurred around 8 p.m. and had closed U.S. Route 1 northbound, according to a dispatcher for the Maryland State Police.

The driver of a 1968 Dodge passengar car was hospitalized with "severe" injuries, the dispatcher said. He added that the fuel truck was empty and that no liquid was spilled.

In an unrelated accident, a motorcyclist died in a crash at Route 543 and Route 7 around 8:30 p.m. Saturday in Riverside.
