Biker Dies in Shock Trauma; Drivers Identified

A Joppa man died Monday as a result of injuries from Saturday's collision.

A 54-year-old Joppa man has died as a result of .

Edward John Rogers III of Joppa was driving a 2001 Harley Davidson north on Route 24 when another driver "failed to yield the right of way to the motorcycle during the left turn," according to a release from the Maryland State police. The incident occurred at about 1:30 p.m.

Young Hui Park, 58, of Baltimore, was driving a silver Honda Accord south on Route 24 when police say she turned in front of Rogers toward Myers Drive. "The motorcycle then broadsided the Honda," which ejected Rogers from his motorcycle, police said in the release.

Rogers was then struck by a Mazda pickup truck driven by William Hensley, 52, of Whiteford, police said. Rogers was flown to Shock Trauma, where he died Monday.

No charges have been filed and police are still investigating the incident.
