Black Smoke Plumes Over Riverside House Fire

Firefighters converged on a house in Riverside that was completely engulfed in flames Wednesday morning, according to Harford County Fire & EMS.

The fire at a residence in the 1300 block of Marigold Court was reported before 9:30 a.m.

When crews arrived, the house was surrounded by fire, according to Rich Gardiner, spokesman for Harford County Fire & EMS, who said firefighters worked defensively to combat the blaze.

There were no injuries, Gardiner said just before 10 a.m.

Gardiner said the blaze was under control by 11:15 a.m. Crews were continuing to work on the scene, and personnel were there helping provide shelter and water for them in the cold conditions, Gardiner said.

The fire marshal was called to investigate the cause of the blaze.
