Body Found in Abingdon

The dead man has not been identified.

The body of a man was found in a wooded area in Abingdon.

Harford County sheriff's deputies were called to the 1300 block of Harford Town Drive around 2:30 p.m. Tuesday after someone reported finding a body in the wooded area nearby, according to a release from the sheriff's office.

Detectives found no obvious signs of foul play at the scene or on the body of the unidentified person, described only as a young black man,  according to police.

Police are working to identify the young man and awaiting the cause of death ruling from the Maryland Medical Examiner's Office.
