UPDATE: C. Milton Wright Evacuated Thursday

The building was cleared for reentry shortly before noon.

UPDATE: (1:55 p.m.)—C. Milton Wright High School was evacuated Thursday morning due to a bomb threat at the school.

Thursday morning, school staff learned of a threatening message written on the mirror inside a school bathroom, Capt. Keith Warner, spokesman for the Harford County Sheriff's Office, said.

The message stated a bomb inside the school would go off at 11 a.m., Warner explained.

Staff immediately evacuated the building and deputies were called to the scene along with a bomb detection dog.

"The bomb dog searched the building and didn’t come up with anything," Warner said.

After nothing was found in the search, students and staff were allowed back inside the building shortly before noon.

An alert message from Teri Kranefeld, manager of communication with Harford County Public Schools, went out Thursday notifying parents and staff that a non-specific threat was made at the school that morning and the building had been evacuated. A second message notified parents when students were let back in the building.

"We don’t have any suspects that I know of at this point," Warner said, later adding, "There would be charges if we are able to track down who did it."
