Man Carjacked at Edgewood MARC Station: Harford Sheriff

An armed robbery turned into the theft of a teal Lexus, the Harford County Sheriff's Office reported.

A man told police he was carjacked after dropping off his friend at the Edgewood MARC Station Saturday morning, according to the Harford County Sheriff's Office.

At approximately 1 a.m. Saturday, deputies were called to 1 Edgewood Road for a carjacking that had just occurred near the MARC station, the sheriff's office reported.

A 41-year-old Baltimore man told deputies he dropped his friend off and was walking back to his car when two men in their late teens or early twenties approached him, the report stated.

The Edgewood MARC station is only operational Monday through Friday, according to the Maryland Transit Administration.

The victim told police that his friend was meeting a girlfriend at the station, and after he dropped the friend off, he stopped to relieve himself and was walking back to his car when two men approached him, according to The Aegis.

One man, wearing a dark hoodie with skulls on the front, pointed a gun at him and demanded cash, according to police, who said the suspect was approximately 6' tall and of thin build.

Another man, also armed with a handgun, came up behind the victim, the report stated. The second suspect was approximately 5'6", of medium to heavy build and wearing a black hat with a red brim.

The victim said his wallet was in his car, and a cell phone and undisclosed amount of cash were subsequently stolen in addition to his vehicle, according to The Aegis.

The thinner suspect stole the victim's 2001 teal Lexus, which has Maryland registration 3AY3374, according to police, while the other man left in dark-colored vehicle.
