One person was taken by helicopter to the hospital after a vehicle flipped on the Bel Air Bypass Friday afternoon, according to Harford County Volunteer Fire & EMS Association.

The crash occurred on the northbound part of the road near the Emmorton interchange, according to the report, issued at approximately 3:30 p.m.

At that time a helicopter was on the way to take one person to a regional trauma center, the report stated.

The crash involved a single vehicle, according to Rich Gardiner of the Bel Air Volunteer Fire Company, which responded to the incident.

re: Vehicle Flipped on Bel Air Bypass - trying to get clarifications: 1) the vehicle was to the west of the southbound lane beyond the guardrail; whereas, the article indicated it was off the northbound lane, 2) article stated "At that time a helicopter was on the way to take one person to a regional trauma center, the report stated." - does this mean that THIS helicopter stopped to provide this assistance or does this refer to a separate non-related helicopter in use at that time?, 3) what was the apparent cause?, 4) what were the possible related weather conditions?, 5) what were the apparent injuries to the single victim, 6) age of the victim?, 7) how long was traffic subsequently blocked/delayed as a result? ---Far more often than not, the Bel Air Patch provides very brief/incomplete 'snip-its' of news leaving more questions unanswered than those that may have been answered, plus, there is most often no follow-up to any such story so the Bel Air Patch readers are unable to obtain any 'closure' to the news story.... How can this be addressed by a 'news-providing' organization?

Hey does anyone know about the pick-up truck crash on Churchville Road near Starbucks yesterday? That was so weird! The truck's back end was wedged halfway up the retaining wall. Sure do hope no one was seriously injured.
