Vehicle Flipped on Bel Air Bypass: Officials

Harford County first responders said one person was flown from the scene.

One person was taken by helicopter to the hospital after a vehicle flipped on the Bel Air Bypass Friday afternoon, according to Harford County Volunteer Fire & EMS Association.

The crash occurred on the northbound part of the road near the Emmorton interchange, according to the report, issued at approximately 3:30 p.m.

At that time a helicopter was on the way to take one person to a regional trauma center, the report stated.

The crash involved a single vehicle, according to Rich Gardiner of the Bel Air Volunteer Fire Company, which responded to the incident.
