2 Injured in Route 22 Crash by Greenbrier: Officials

The crash resulted in a closure for more than two hours Friday afternoon.

Drivers were advised to avoid Churchville Road/MD Route 22 Friday afternoon in the area of the Greenbrier Shopping Center as the result of a crash, according to the Harford County Volunteer Fire & EMS Association.

At 2:40 p.m. on Friday, Route 22 was completely shut down at Moores Mill Road after the four-vehicle crash, transportation officials reported. 

Maryland State Police said it was a head-on collision on Route 22.

Two people were transported for medical treatment as a result of the crash, which occurred by Brierhill Drive near the CVS, according to Harford County Volunteer Fire & EMS.

One person was taken by land and another by air to a regional trauma center, the report from Harford Fire & EMS stated. "The airlifted victim is most serious," according to the report.

Maryland State Police said before midnight that two people were taken for medical treatment and did not have any further information on their conditions.

Westbound lanes reopened by 4:20 p.m. By 5 p.m., the crash had cleared, according to the Maryland Department of Transportation.
