Crews Knock Out Abingdon Apartment Fire

The fire was in the 500 block of Ramblewood Drive, off Crisfield Drive.

Nobody was injured in an apartment fire Monday morning in Abingdon, according to Rich Gardiner, spokesman for Harford County Volunteer Fire & EMS.

Smoke was showing when firefighters arrived at the apartment building in the 500 block of Ramblewood Drive, according to Joppa-Magnolia Volunteer Fire Company, which reported the building was evacuated.

Gardiner said that it was a "small blaze" in which the sprinklers had gone off.

In addition to Joppa-Magnolia, crews from Bel Air and Abingdon fire companies also responded to the call.

By 10:40 a.m., the fire was knocked out, according to Abingdon Fire Company.
