Feb. 2, 8:21 a.m. A resident of the 1000 block of Deer Creek Church Road in Forest Hill was the victim of a vehicle theft. A 27-year-old man told police that he left his 2007 Dodge pickup truck at the end of his driveway in anticipation of an ice storm. On the morning of Feb. 2 he discovered that his driver’s side sliding window had been broken out and that a five-inch silver LED flashlight was stolen from his glove box. A GPS device, tools and other items were left in the car.
Jan. 31, 1:56 a.m. A 29-year-old man was arrested on charges of driving under the influence and other accusations. Eric Ivan Reyes-Valdez, who now lives in the 200 block of Crocker Drive in Bel Air, was pulled over for allegedly driving 64 mph in a 45 mph zone and was subsubsequently charged with DUI, negligent driving and speeding.
Jan. 30, 7:38 p.m. An unidentified 56-year-old man is suspected of leaving the scene of an accident and possessing a brown wooden pipe to smoke marijuana, while also carrying an additional 1.6 grams of marijuana in an Altoids tin. Police were looking for the driver of a vehicle that struck another car in the 500 block of Jarrettsville Road before the suspect fled the scene. Police recovered the pipe and a tin full of marijuana from the scene and are investigating the incident.
