Edgewood Shooting Victim Has Been Shot Before

Police release the name of the Saturday shooting victim.

While police say the Saturday was not random, it remained unclear Monday whether the incident was related to gang or drug activity.

Before 1:30 p.m., Solothol Delilly, 20, was hit over the head then shot in the leg outside the the Save-a-Lot in the 1800 block of Pulaski Highway in Edgewood, according to a statement from the .

Delilly was taken by Joppa Magnolia Volunteer Fire Company ambulance to for treatment of injuries that were not life-threatening. He had been released from the hospital as of Monday.

The shooter is described as a 5'7" man wearing a black polo shirt and khaki shorts.

Investigators do not believe the shooting was a random act of violence but could not say whether the incident was gang or drug related.

In July 2010, Delilly and another young man were shot near the Courts of Harford Square neighborhood in Edgewood, according to a story on ExploreHarford.com.

Two suspected gang members were charged in that attack, but police said at the time the shooting was not related to gang activity, but to a personal matter, the story states.

Both James Cooper Valentine and Keeyan Omar Brooks, the men charged in the shooting, are serving jail sentences in the incident, according to online court records.
