First Responders Rescue 2 in Crash Near Fallston: Officials

One person was airlifted for medical treatment, officials said.

First responders were at the scene of a crash near Fallston Monday night where two people were trapped, officials said.

At 8:49 p.m., a crash was reported in the 2200 block of Watervale Road that required two rescues, according to Harford County Volunteer Fire & EMS.

By 9:07 p.m., both individuals had been extricated from the vehicle, the report stated.

One was taken by helicopter and another by ambulance for medical treatment, Harford County Volunteer Fire & EMS reported.

The landing site for the helicopter was the Fallston Mall off Belair Road near Mountain Road, the report said, and the patient was in critical condition.

Fire and police personnel remained at the scene at approximately 9:30 p.m., according to the report.

Watervale Road is closed between MD Route 152/Mountain Road and Peachtree Road, Harford Fire & EMS reported, and the road will be closed for an extended period of time.
