State fire marshals conducted an investigation that lasted more than two years.

A 34-year-old Fallston man has been charged with first- and second-degree arson and two counts of malicious burning with intent to defraud as the result of an investigation that spanned more than two years.

Jerry W. Williams Jr. of the 2200 block of Choate Road has been charged by Deputy State Fire Marshals in relation to an incident that took place shortly before 3 a.m. on Oct. 13, 2008. According to a release from the fire marshal, Williams allegedly burned his 1984 Winnebago RV and 2006 Ford King Rancher, which were on his property at the time.

The fire marshal believes Williams received the assistance of two other suspects, for whom charges are pending.
