Fallston Woods Fire Draws Emergency Response

The fire on Fallston Valley Drive was reported Tuesday afternoon.

A large fire broke out in the woods in Fallston Tuesday afternoon, according to Rich Gardiner, spokesman for the Harford County Volunteer Fire and EMS Association.

The fire was reported on Fallston Valley Drive after 3:30 p.m.

Gardiner said that volunteers from Fallston, Bel Air and Kingsville were working at the site around 3:45 p.m. Tuesday, and there were no injuries reported.

Harford County and areas in the region were at risk of wildfires Tuesday due to dry conditions, according to the National Weather Service.

A fire weather watch is in effect for Harford County and other parts of Maryland Wednesday because low humidity and winds up to 30 mph could create "critical fire conditions," the National Weather Service reported.
