Forest Hill Chimney Fire Spreads to Home

The fire was reported around 8 p.m. Wednesday.

A chimney fire spread to a home in Forest Hill Wednesday night, prompting first responders to converge at the scene, according to Harford County Fire & EMS spokeswoman Jennifer Chenworth Price.

The fire was reported at approximately 8 p.m. Wednesday in the 3400 block of Baywood Drive, Price said.

The Jarrettsville Volunteer Fire Company and several others were working to battle the blaze that spread into the residence, Price said.

The blaze was under control at 9 p.m., according to Price, who said there were no injuries as a result of the fire.

The Harford County Hazmat Response Team was requested due to the weather conditions, Price said.

It was 10 degrees in Forest Hill Wednesday night, according to the National Weather Service.
