Churchville Road Auto Shop Fire Under Investigation

Officials said the flames were through the roof in the office area off MD Route 22.

A fire scene on Churchville Road/Route 22 was anticipated to cause traffic delays, and officials are advised drivers to take detours if possible.

Fire broke out at R & J's Automotive in the 3000 block of Churchville Road after 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

The fire was through the roof in the office area of the building, Harford County Volunteer Fire and EMS said. Nobody was injured, officials said.

Crews had knocked down most of the blaze by 4:50 p.m., according to officials.

First responders anticipated delays on Route 22 in the area—between Glenville Road and Woodside Drive—and advised drivers to detour around the scene if possible, according to the report.

The fire marshal was investigating the cause of the blaze as of 6:30 p.m.
